It was about the dilemma that supposedly every Muslimah goes through before she chooses to wear her Hijab permanently. the Hijab is not just a piece of cloth that covers your head but a responsibility that you're carrying out because of your love for God and His religion.
the stereotypical thoughts that some Muslimahs have about wearing the Hijab only after marriage makes you question their intentions of wearing the Hijab - to please their Husbands or to please their Lord? - Of course, this is not a very nice thing to do because only Allah knows of their intentions.
It's just... what if you pass away before you get married? What if you pass away before you decide to put your Hijab on?
What is it that you're afraid of that you choose to not wear the Hijab?
Verily, Allah said in His Qur'an - “Truly Allah is with those who fear Him (keep their duty unto Him), and those who are good-doers.” [An-Nahl, 16:128]
Then again if the Hijab is your choice then let it be a choice for the sake of Allah.
alhamdulillah, i've got an encouraging and supporting family that makes me realize how important it is to wear hijab. im very blessed to have them in my life. actually, my parents expecially my dad has been pestering me to wear hijab during secondary school times. but i told him i'll wear it when i start schooling in poly. i know the importance but im just not ready yet. i have the niat(intention) to wear it but it seems a little too early wear it. mum understands me and she agreed. i did went to syarahan(religious talks) about the importance of wearing hijab and what will be the consequences if i werent to wear it. the punishment i will get in the hereafter. it is such an eye-opener once i heard about it and makes me think and do some reflection on myself.
but you know sometimes theres cobaan(temptations) and obstacles you will be facing if you want to do something good. ever since i decided to put on my hijab, friends and school mates kept on asking why did i start wearing it. they have seen my photos in my laptop with me without my hijab. they commented i look better without it and ask me to take it off. sometimes this kind of comments pulls my spirit down as i feel that the people around me dislikes me wearing the hijab.
i tell my mum and brothers about it. and my 1st brother never fails to cheer me up with his words of wisdom and encouragement. it makes me feel good about myself. mum always reminds me that it is an obstacle that i have to face with an open heart. we cant stop people from talking. they have the rights to say anything they like. as long you know you're doing the right thing and for the sake of God. insyallah He will help me overcome all this cobaan dengan ikhlas hati.
you want to know something.. as a teenager who is starting to learn the meaning of life, i will really love to explore new things and try out new stuff that i've never done before. i feel like dyeing my hair. i feel like trying new styles of clothings eg. sleeveless shirt, short skirts, short dresses and etc. i feel like going home until its late at night. i feel like going to places i've never go before such as pubs. try out new things like sheesha-ing which seems to be the trend now of kids nowadays. i feel like riding bikes even though i know how dangerous it may get. alhamudulillah, smoking, drinking, piercing and tattoing have not once crossed my mind. its against the religion. sometimes i feel that parents has been controlling my life so much that i cant do whatever i wants. this cannot, that cannot.
but then again, if you ponder about it thoroughly, its for my own good. i wont be what i am today. i admit i've sinned, break a few rules and laws and the good thing is i feel guilty about it. i cant imagine myself being wild with piercing all over me and reacting so rebellious in public. me vulgarizing? i think my friends will be super shocked if i say those kind of words. i tend to keep quiet when im angry. its better to say nothing rather saying something that you will regret later on. anger is a feeling that makes your mouth work faster than your mind. i still remember when i was little, i ask my mum for permission to vulgar. haha. i know it was somehow wrong to do that but it seems that alot of people that i came across with vulgared before. so i wanted to try and seek for my mother's approval. haha! cute right me? XD and of course mum disagreed.
overall i can say that pendidikan agama has made what i am today. syukur alhamdulillah im blessed to have people who taught me islamic values. my parents has always reminding me that if you have strong islamic foundation, insyallah, i will be able to face any challenges in this world. they constantly remind me not to forget my prayers wherever i go because you might never know that will be your last time doing it. death will come regardless of your age. its all determines in His hand. so its not too late to repent or do something good.
